15-Hour Assisting School with Kino

Yoga is an intimate space of connection where the mind, body and spirit transform. Hands-on assisting guides the student into a sense of the sacred. More than just fixing posture, assisting in the traditional Ashtanga Yoga method is a healing art. Discover the foundation of how to give physical adjustments in Ashtanga
Yoga through a careful analysis of lineage, tradition and effective communication. While verbal cueing and visual demonstration are wonderful, the physical body responds and learns through touch.

What to expect:

  • Develop your kinesthetic intelligence to unlock the magic of hands-on assists and speak the honest language of the body.

  • Maximize your effectiveness as a teacher and learn how to receive as a student.

  • Learn how to hold space for the students’ spiritual journey and allow their bodies to be the guide.

  • Yoga poses will be organized by themes in order to create an intuitive atmosphere of exploration and study.

Friday — Inversions and Arm Balances

Upon completion of the 5 Day Assisting School, you will be able to apply to assist Kino in person.

Note that you must be physically present in every single class in order to be considered and that completion of the course is not a guarantee in being approved to assist Kino.

Kino Macgregor

15-Hour Assisting School

Kino MacGregor is one of a select few people to receive the Certification to teach Ashtanga Yoga by its founder Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. Perhaps the youngest woman to hold this title, she completed the challenging Fourth Series with Guruji and Sharath. Traveling internationally, she leads classes, privates, workshops and retreats in the traditional spiritual path of Ashtanga Yoga.

Kino is dedicated to sharing the amazing tradition of Ashtanga Yoga with its growing number of practitioners. She holds a Master’s Degree from New York University and integrates her commitment to consciousness and empowerment with her yoga teaching. In her unique, inspirational and playful approach, Kino helps her students expand and deepen their understanding of yoga and life.
